The canvas I have used is an old mirror, which I have oxidized, and then painted the back, so the paiting actually peaks through the oxidized material. Which means this painting was also done in reverse. I love the way this mirror changes colour and depth, as you move around the room.. this is incredibly hard to photograph, so it's better viewed in person ❤️ 'Resilience' "The ability of a substance to return to its original shape after being bent or pressed... we relate to this because as humans, resilience is the ability of a human being to be able to recover from life's experiences, whether good or bad, and to be happy and beautiful again' This mirror has lived a life, and has become beautiful in a unique way... the same goes for us.. we also become beautifully built as individuals, as we experience our journey through life. 70 little painted figures represent several/our many emotions and experience in life that shape us to whom we are today ❤️
